Virtualization Spotlight is the official blog of PHD Virtual Technologies, the leader in data protection and guaranteed recovery solutions for virtual and cloud environments. The blog focuses on virtualization news, the VMware, Citrix and Hyper-V communities, what our employees & customers are up to and many more things!

The blog originated in 2007, one year after PHD Virtual revolutionized the industry with the release of esXpress, the first virtual backup appliance for VMware data protection. Fast forward to today and PHD Virtual is still the #1 virtual backup appliance, has extended hypervisor support to the XenServer and Hyper-V platforms, and released a new technology called ReliableDR, which automates the Disaster Recovery process to reduce the cost & complexity of failover, failback and testing.

The blog is managed by Robert Payne, Product Marketing Manager and Patrick Redknap, vExpert, who contribute posts regularly. Carlos Escapa, GM Disaster Recovery Products and Steve Kahan, CMO, are also regular contributors.
