Why Pay for Hyper-V backup?

by Patrick Redknap on December 27, 2013

With PHD Virtual Backup for Hyper-V being released the week before the Christmas holidays I got thinking and came up with the subject to focus on in this post!

PHD Virtual Backup for Hyper-V is FREE. You have the option to pay for support but that is still a minimal cost and you have to pay for support with most other vendors as an extra anyway. This got me thinking really why would you choose any other product to protect your Hyper-V environment?

Vendors like Veeam charge per CPU socket and include the 1st year support, but this is not really a good alternative to PHD as the  per socket model means that you will be paying so much more than you ever would with PHD backup for Hyper-V!

On product features and points I would be biased towards PHD but on the value point alone I would say that it is pretty obvious which product is the deal!

To take it to the basics… a single 2 socket server would cost upwards of $1500 – $2000 to equip with Veeam’s Hyper-V backup package….. with PHD Virtual Backup for Hyper-V the same backup package would be FREE with support at a fraction of the cost.

Take the PHD Virtual challenge now. Download our FREE Hyper-V Backup Product and try it for yourself! You won’t find it disappointing! :)

Don’t take just my word though! Check out the MvP community reviews and articles on the product!
